"Bezawada Rowdilu" Lands in High Court

There seems to be no end to the controversies surrounding Bezawada Rowdilu movie. As if all the problems surronding the movie till now are not enough, a new head ache has come up for the producers in the form of a petition filed in the Andhra Pradesh High court. The film has been facing many controversies ever since the start of its shoot in May. Though many people from Vijayawada have been protesting against the title of the movie, its producer Ram Gopal Varma has resisted all of the controversies & has repeatedly said that there would be no change to the title of the film.

Freshly the movie has been hit by a petition filed in the high court for the removal of the title. An advocate named Gowtham Reddy has filed a petition in the high court against the title. In the petition filed, Gowtham Reddy has stated that the word "Rowdy" is going to trigger new gang wars in Vijayawada and disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the city. In reply to the petition filed, the high court has directed the legal councel of the Andhra Pradesh film censor board to look into the matter and submit a detailed report to it by one weeks time whether the title can be used for the movie or not.

Bezawada Rowdilu is being produced by Ram Gopal Varma on Shreya Productions and is directed by first timer Vivek Krishna. It stars Naga Chaitanya & Preetika Rao (sister of Athidi heroine Amrita Rao) in the leading roles. Other cast of the movie includes Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ahuti Prasad, Satya Prakash, Subhaleka Sudhakar, Phani, Barath, Lakshmi, Madhavi etc..
